Teaching as Inquiry is a vital part of teacher development in the New Zealand educational system. Teaching as inquiry is directly linked to the New Zealand Curriculum. Teaching as inquiry as a model of practice is fundamentally focused on the continuation of improving student achievement. Likewise, teaching as inquiry provides all educators with an opportunity to build and transform their individual teaching practice through critical reflection and evaluation and purposeful goal setting.
In 2014, teaching as inquiry is an important part of professional development at my school. I will use this space to publish my individual teaching as inquiry to document the complex and transforming journey.
